Designed From Experience, Not a Drawing Board
Coyote Company Leather began in 1996 when founder Don Otey started building gear to solve problems he encountered in the field.
As a lifelong hunter and dog trainer, Don grew frustrated with tangled lanyards, uncomfortable equipment, and products that simply didn't hold up under real-world use. Instead of accepting the limitations of mass-produced gear, he began designing and building his own.
What started as a hobby quickly gained attention from fellow hunters and trainers who appreciated equipment designed by someone who understood the demands of the field.
